Author

Richard Chisholm was a founding member of the UNSW Law School, and a Judge of the Family Court of Australia between 1993 and 2004. Since his retirement from the bench he has continued research, writing and law reform activities in the area of family law.

Suzanne Christie ccombines practising as a barrister at the NSW Bar with legal writing and lecturing. She contributes to Halsbury's Laws of Australia.

Julie Kearney has been practising as a family lawyer since 1995. For 10 years she was a Registrar of the Family Court of Australia and Federal Circuit of Australia. She was also an accredited family law specialist before being called to the Bar in 2015.
